Catherine continues to do well without any nutrition via her tube. Her weight still remains the same, so that's good. Hopefully in the not so distant future we'll see some weight gain! She saw her GI doctor earlier this week and this is the first time he's seen her since her wean. He was very concerned about her BMI (height to weight ratio), which is in the 16th percentile. Catherine had her follow-up visit with her family doctor to check her weight last week. According to my scale (I weigh her weekly), she gained about 7 ounces since we've been home and has stayed at the same weight, 23 lb. 13 oz. for the past 3 weeks. We saw him right after we got back from Seattle and since that time, according to his scale she lost 7 oz.! So he frowned a little when he saw that,...

It still amazes us to look at Catherine and watch her actually eat. After having five typical kids, eating was definitely something I took for granted.

She loves to eat!

It's been 4 weeks since we arrived in Seattle, 2 weeks since we've been home, and I know she'll never go back now. This girl asks to eat constantly. She's made a breakthrough this past weekend and will eat almost anything I offer her. I make a food record once a week to send to Karen, and I'll just post it here and let it speak for itself. Thursday Catherine seemed to pick up again on her eating. She still has a rash on her arms sometimes, but no fever and her mood is better. I think she had Fifth Disease. It's not as ominous as it sounds. It's usually just a rash, but fever, cold symptoms, and achy joints can accompany it.
