We arrived at the hospital at 9:30 for Catherine's scheduled 10:30 AM surgery. She was awake and active. Probably hungry since they stopped feeding her at midnight. Well, 10:30 rolled around and they told us that they had emergency surgeries so she would need to be pushed back. 1:30 PM rolled around at still we sat. I apologize for not posting for a week. It has been an up and down week. We had more ups than downs so that is a good thing. Catherine continues to make progress. She is eating more and more and spitting up less and less. She is a good nurser but gets tired quickly. She is doing well with bottle feedings too. She takes anywhere from 25 - 50% by mouth and the rest through the tube. She is gaining...

Some Good News

Yesterday, Thursday April 10th, we visited Nationwide Children's Hospitaland met with a nurse who showed us where Catherine would be, where the surgery would take place etc. After this meeting we went for an echo cardiogram for Catherine.
